CD Profile:
Finally - the first full length studio CD! Recorded while the negotiations over the record deal were still going on! The finished product is a statement of the band’s determination to push forward through the heartless void of the entity that calls itself “the record industry”. Completed late in 2006 and delayed in its release due to record company dogma apparently designed to prevent fans from accessing their drug of choice: Synthetic Breed.
Recording Notes:
Coming once again off the shop floor of Embryonic Studios, Melbourne, Catatonic showcases the abilities of Vincent’s in recording heavy music in order to encapsulate a vision. This first full length album demonstrates the band’s evolution into a new entity. Fragmented Human Structure (already popular with the fans through numerous live performances and through an early promo video for Live In Germany – With Full Force), Simulated Inception, Autonomic Deficiency, and the two instrumentals Manipulation And Replacement Of Inner Soul Circuitry and Inconclusive Resolution show the shift further away from the mainstream into the murkier depths of harmonised atonalism; of poly-rhythmic groove - A new level in extreme music that portrays technical musicianship without surrendering artistic integrity.

CD Profile:
Updated drums, cleaned up guitar tracks plus a remixed and remastered sound as well as a couple of killer bonus tracks! What more could you ask for? Everything that the original had, only tighter, meaner, with new liner notes, artwork and photos. This is for all the fans who missed out on the limited original print (1000 printed) or the even rarer “Albury” pre-release (20 printed) of Fractured. It also includes Fragmented Human Structure from Synthetic Breed’s live CD Live in Germany – With Full Force as well as Becoming, a song originally released by Pantera and covered by Synthetic Breed for the Dimebag Darrell Tribute – The Art Of Shredding. Becoming has been remixed and remastered especially for this release and is presented here for the first time in this format. Enjoy!
Recording Notes:
Fractured – Redux was reworked prior to Synthetic Breed – Redux. Vinn revisited the original sound files to remix and remaster the tracks between January and March 2007. The original concept of the extended Paradox has been retained, but with a new twist, which the hard core fans are sure to figure out and salivate themselves into a frenzy over. The version of Fragmented Human Structure is lifted straight from Live in Germany – With Full Force, (except for the obvious fade in and out), while Becoming was remastered around the same time as the tracks for Synthetic Breed – Redux: during March and April of 2007.

It’s back! Finally! Synthetic Breed’s first EP is available again after a hiatus of four years! If you didn’t get it back in 2003, here’s your chance finally to do so! We still played in B-Tuning and a four string Hohner B-Bass made for some awesome low-tones! Listen to it gurgle on Human Receptor!
This re-release features the remixed and remastered original six track EP Synthetic Breed as well as additional bonus material that shows the depth of song writing from the early days. Some of the songs will be familiar to fans, having later been recorded in alternative versions, while the remaining tracks should also be eye openers. Brutality administered in carefully measured doses…

CD Profile:
Synthetic Breed Live In Germany at the With Full Force Festival in 2006! To the 10.000 of you who were there for the 2:00 a.m. start we are forever indebted! Thank you for making our trip more than we could have hoped: This is for you! Recorded onto plastic for posterity, this is an accurate reflection of the evolution of the band at the time: It contains one of the last performances of Chaos (before its musical revision to Chaos Theory), Daniel’s huge drum solo at the end of Paradox and early performances of Fragmented Human Structure and Inconclusive Resolution. Check out the freebie video promo of FHS shot by management for promotional purposes: watch the timely demise of a sunburst P-Bass copy, dressed up in silver and tuned to a ridiculous low A! Send us a picture of yourself with that mean machine, you, who were lucky enough to wrestle it away from the event!
Being on the bill with the likes of Korn, In Flames, Soulfly, Arch Enemy (again), Opeth, Celtic Frost, Motorhead etc. was simply inspiring (Click on the bands below for links to their sites). Thanks must go to Wenke Gillner and the WFF management crew for organising the event and hosting us and our roadie / guitar tech / friend Jèrôme Lüpkes for helping out when and where necessary. Thank you also to the friends we made at the event and especially our mates from Leipzig-Großzschocher with whom we overcame not just language barriers!
Recording Notes:
Recorded live in Germany at the With Full Force Festival near Leipzig in Germany on the 1st of July 2006. Mixed live by our Australian Sound Engineer Daniel Corless who made the long trek over to Germany with us. Post production was undertaken at Embryonic Studios, Melbourne, between February and April 2007.

TRACK LIST:
- FRAGILE
- CHAOS
- CYBERNETICS
- CATATONIC
- ECLECTIC
- PARADOX
CD Profile:
Fractured – Synthetic Breed at the crossroads between the old and the new: Material originally conceived in B tuning recorded in A next and two killer newbies (Fragile and Catatonic). After the trials and tribulations between 2001 and 2005 Fractured marks the point at which Synthetic Breed come into their own, ready to take on the world – as indeed they would with this EP.
Recording Notes:
Fractured was recorded during April and May 2005, once again at Embryonic Studios in Melbourne, Australia under the direction of Vincent Zylstra. The recording was made using Steinberg's Cubase and features samples from sources as varied as Bronx Executioner and Doctor Who. Paradox showcases Daniel’s drumming ideas and the track finishes with a messed up penultimate mix of Fractured.

SYNTHETIC BREED
RELEASE DATE: APRIL 2003
CATALOGUE NUMBER: SYM-CD-01 OUT OF STOCK
LINE UP: Bahlo, Condello, Nasseri, Zylstra
TRACK LIST:
- SYNTHETIC BREED
- HUMAN RECEPTOR
- EXTRACTION
- RE-OCCURING THOUGHT PATTERN
- NEURO CONNECTIVITY
- TECHNO SEDATION
CD Profile:
The first EP! Six tracks of poly-rhythmic mayhem beginning with the self titled intro (originally written on Acid-pro and featuring Hugo Weaving’s apocalyptic statement on humanity sampled from the movie The Matrix), followed by four of the band’s core songs and rounded off with a taste of the new: Techno Sedation – The most complex of songs to that date and a sign of things to come on Fractured.
Recording Notes:
Synthetic Breed was recorded towards the end of 2002 at Embryonic Studios, Melbourne, Australia. Vinn handled recording, mixing and mastering responsibilities to ensure that the vision of the band would manifest itself into as corporeal a form as possible, rather than ending up another amorphous self titled EP, butchered at the hands of uninspired engineering in non descript studios, slave to a shoe-string budget and unrealistic timelines.
